　　重庆明光仪器厂是从事精密光电仪器产品开发、研制和生产的大型军工企业，是国家机电产品出口基地企业之一。

　　工厂始建于一九六五年，占地234,000平方米，建筑面积180,000平方米，地处重庆经济技术开发区。距新建的重庆长江三桥的南桥头约800米，距渝黔高速公路的起点站不到600米。交通、通讯非常便捷，水、电、气等能源供应充足。

　　工厂设有照相机分厂、军品分厂、机加分厂、表面处理分厂、工具分厂和机动分厂，现有职工2000余人，专业技术人员350余人；拥有固定资产原值1.5亿元，各类精密设备1000余台，拥有一套科学的质量管理方法注完整注质量保证体系，工艺装备精良，检测手段先进，是西南地区唯一的照相机检测中心,具有年生产照相机20万架，光学仪器10万套（具）的生产能力，产品多获得国家和省部级奖，在国内外享有极高的声誉。

　　Chongqing Mingguang Instruments Factory, under China Ordnance Equipment Company (Group), is one of leading enterprises which are engaged in the development and manufacture of precise opto-electronic instruments, one of the national fixed factories manufacturing medium and high-grade 35mm SLR cameras, one of the export bases for the national electromechanical products, and also is one of the members of China’s CD Promotion Committee and China’s Electronic Audio Association, one of the leading members of Chongqing Opto-electronic Industrial Park and one of the bureau level civilized units of the Southwest Regional Dept.

　　This factory covers an area of over 200,000 square meters including the building area of 180,000 square meters, and is located at the Chongqing Economy & Technology Development Zone and about 500 meters from Chongqing Egongyan Bridge and not more than 300 meters from the joining point of Yu-Qian Expressway, with very convenient traffic and communications, and water, electricity and natural gas etc. sufficient energy supply.

　　It has more than 2000 staff and workers including more than 200 professionals, 180 million Yuan of original value of fixed assets and more than 1000 sets of all kinds of precise equipments. It has the annual production capacity of manufacturing 200,000 cameras, 1,000,000 binoculars, 200,000 red dot sights, 500,000 sets of other optical instruments and 3,000,000 pieces of optical glass elements. It established a perfect quality guarantee system, which passed ISO9001 authentication of the international quality system in 2000. Its products have won the national, provincial and bureau level prizes for many times and exported to the USA, Germany, Holland, the South America and the Southeast Asia etc. countries and regions in large quantities.
